  • Enumerate the essential criteria of a potentially screened population, target disease, and screening test that would yield a favorable/useful screening intervention.
  • Differentiate the utility of and potential relationship between commonly used outcome measures in screening studies including survival, mortality, and incidence.
  • Outline how lead and length time biases can influence results of sub-optimally designed screening studies, and how to design studies to avoid these biases. 
  • Summarize the concept of overdiagnosis.
  • Analyze varied screening case scenarios employing test accuracy measures and prevalence data to calculate predictive values in addition to false labeling and reassurance rates.
